On June 7, Lego fans shouldn’t miss “Bricklive”, the first interactive Lego adventure in Jakarta in a 10-day extravaganza for kids and adults alike. Bali’s cultural scene will glow with daily exhibitions, performances, and an array of art-related activities at the Bali Arts Festival on June 9. From the second Saturday until July 2, this is the best of time of the year to enjoy and savour the artistic beauty of the Island of the Gods. 

English electronic group Above & Beyond is set to return to Indonesia performing live at Omnia Dayclub on June 15. The trio are set to perform at the launch of Omnia Bali’s brand new day-night party for the first time. Don’t miss out!

A unique collaboration by 76-year-old essayist Goenawan Muhammad and 57-year-old maestro Hanafi will be on exhibit until July 2. June 21 coincides with the date in 1994 when Gunawan Muhammad’s Tempo magazine was suspended. Venue: Galeri Nasional Hall A; admission: free; time: 9am-4 pm.

The Jakarta municipality will focus the celebrations of the metropolis’s 491st anniversary at Pulau Tidung on June 22, one of the hundreds of islands that build up the Pulau Seribu district of North Jakarta. Programmes and activities will range from games and a reggae music festival to a multi-sport aquathon.

On June 26, the fifth Bali & Beyond Travel Fair will be held for five days at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. The focus of the biggest travel fair on the Island of the Gods, “Exploring the Colors of Indonesia”, will promote tourist destinations in the 21 regions that take part in the marketplace. Doors open: 8am. 

Meanwhile, R&B soloist Teddy Adhitya will celebrate the first anniversary of his debut album Nothing Is Real in a showcase presentation of his musical journey at Teater Salihara in South Jakarta on June 27. Tickets for this crowd-funded project are set at Rp195,000 and Rp325,000. Showtime: 8pm.
