Various end-of-the-year events colour December, with a cultural congress, rock concerts, performing arts celebrations, and plays, right up to vaudeville shows and all-night New Year’s Eve revelry. Here are the seven events to note down!

On December 1, Titan Center and ABM Entertainment proudly present “An Intimate Night with Titi DJ featuring BAMS”, a comeback concert by senior diva Titi DJ. Venue: Titan Center Jl. Boulevard Raya, Bintaro Jaya; tickets: Rp800,000 (Silver), Rp1m (Gold), and Rp1.2m (Platinum); showtime: 8pm.

Galeri Nasional, the national gallery in Jakarta, will stage a 10-day painting exhibition featuring retrospective works by contemporary artist Moelyono starting from December 1. Born August 5, 1957, in Tulungagung, East Java, Moelyono graduated in art studies from the Faculty of Art and Design at ISI Yogyakarta. Venue: Hall A Galeri Nasional; admission free; opening hours: 9am-4pm.

On December 2, American artist Calum Scott is slated to entertain Jakartans with his melodious singles. Held at Kartika Expo Center, Balai Kartini, the concert is part of the singer’s Only Human Asian Tour.

Kla Project, the progressive pop rock group, will present “Karunia Semesta”, a special concert to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the band formed by Katon Bagaskara and friends in 1988 featuring best cuts, and impressive lighting and choreography. Date: December 5; Venue: Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan; tickets: Rp800,000-Rp3.5m; showtime: 7:30pm. 

Djakarta Warehouse Project is back with bigger, stronger and louder talents that will set the right tone for the New Year. Starting from December 7-9, the line-up consists of Major Lazer, Afrojack, DJ Snake, The Weeknd, Mura Masa, Kungs, and more. Venue: Garuda Wishnu Kencana Culture Park, Bali; three-day pass: Rp3.3m; doors open: 7pm.

 

Three rising stars—Rio Febrian, Marcell Siahaan, and Sammy Simorangkir—will join forces to present an amazing concert about their journeys of love: “Konser Perjalanan Cinta” on December 14. Venue: Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung; showtime: 9pm. RD2 Productions has set ticket prices at Rp367,500 (Festival), Rp787,500 (Silver), and Rp1,575,000 (Diamond). 

In their “Still Asian Tour 2018” organised by Original Production, Michael Learns To Rock Live in Indonesia on December 15 and will take place at the Grand Ballroom of the Radisson Golf & Convention Center on the resort island of Batam. Tickets: Rp550,000 (Silver), Rp750,000 (Gold), and Rp1.5m (Platinum); showtime: 8pm.
