Exciting programmes in October range from Mozart and Tchaikovsky to an Italian Language Week, an infrastructure conference & exhibition, a thrash-metal rock concert and much more!

The three-day vegan festival will be held at Down to Earth Paradiso and Taksu Spa in Ubud in Bali starting from October 5-7 in Canggu and continues from October 12-14 in Canggu. Vegans and the vegan-curious are welcome to celebrate all things cruelty-free and spread messages of kindness and love towards animals and the Earth.

On October 7, House of Piano presents the “Young Steinway Artist Gala Concert” with pianist Jonathan Kuo and the Jakarta Sinfonietta at Aula Simfonia in Kemayoran in Jakarta. The concert will feature selections from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky and Piano Concerto KV 167 by Mozart. Showtime: 4pm; tickets: Rp100,000 and Rp500,000.

Galeri Nasional, the National Gallery in Gambir in Central Jakarta, will display Selected Works by Indonesian Maestros starting from October 10. Venue: Hall A; admission: free; opening hours: 10am-7pm daily except Mondays; runs until October 28. 

"Bawilamus", a theater performance on the Dayak tribe will be presented on October 13 and 14. Held at Taman Ismail Marzuki, the musical performance will star ophia Latjuba and Lea Simanjuntak while being written by Paquita Widjaja Rustandi, composed by Erwin Gutawa Orchestra and directed by Jay Subiyakto.

IIC Jakarta, in collaboration with Universitas Indonesia, the Swiss Embassy, Accademia Italiana della Cucina, and Universitas Gadjah Mada, will present “XVIII Week of the Italian Language in the World” on October 15. Venue: Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Jl. H.O.S Cokroaminoto 117, Menteng, Jakarta; admission: free.

On October 20, Rajawali Indonesia Communications presents “Yanni Live – 25th Anniversary Acropolis”: a colossal concert blending jazz, classical, soft rock, and world music at the Prambanan Temple open-air theatre in Central Java. Tickets: Rp1m (Silver) to Rp6m (Diamond); showtime: 8pm-10pm.

The legendary thrash-metal band Megadeth and God Bless, Elpamas, and Edane are ready to rock aficionados at Rajawali Indonesia Communication’s production “Jogjarockarta Festival” on October 27. Venue: Kridosono Stadium, Yogyakarta; tickets: Rp700,000; showtime: 10pm.
