Luciano Pavarotti, also known as Big Luciano, is one of the most world’s most beloved opera singers and one who has made hearts melt with performances over half of the 20th century. Pavarotti’s larger-than-life persona and his huge involvement in television appearances and recordings have led to fame and taken him to the world’s most prestigious opera houses and theatres.

Pavarotti is also known for his constant dedication to the Italian culture that has made him the undisputed ambassador of bel canto on the world stage. With his artistic and media skills, and indefatigable passion for music, he has managed to change the face of opera for more than 40 years.

For the first time in Indonesia, Ciputra Artpreneur, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Jakarta and the Italian Cultural Institute, Jakarta, will hold a special tribute concert dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti called “Pavarotti Forever” on November 26 at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater.

Part of commemorating the 10 years since Pavarotti died, the recital aims to bring to life the memory of the singer through his famous arias. Tenors Jenish Ysmanov and Alin Stoica, along with sopranos Anna Petricevic and Elisa Balbo, will take centre stage, accompanied by renowned pianist and a long-time friend of the maestro, Paolo Andreoli.

Pavarotti’s fans can expect to enjoy a number of his famous songs, such as “Traviata-Brindisi”, “O Sole Mio” and many more. Not only that, guests can also watch unpublished videos of Pavarotti as well as enjoy a memorabilia exhibition from Pavarotti’s musical career. The wife of the late maestro, Nicoletta Mantovani, will also be gracing the event. She now serves as Director of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation.
