In order to support Indonesian creative film industry, Plaza Indonesia supports the commitment by organizing Plaza Indonesia Film Festival (PIFF) 2018. This is the fourth year that’s the festival is held since its inception in 2015. PIFF 2018 will not only showcase the best films from international countries, but also from our beloved nation Indonesia.

The opening theme for this year is “Love Philosophy” by selecting movies that will captivate us with the dark and bright side of a love journey from different kinds of perspectives. Teaming with Pabrikultur as the film curator, PIFF 2018 will present 10 best films, starting from drama to animation. The chosen films are already internationally recognized in various film festivals, such as Berlin International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.

The films that will be screened in PIFF 2018 is Sekala Niskala (Indonesia), The Beguiled (America), On Body and Soul (Hungary), Loveless (Russia), Loving Vincent (Europe), Felicite (France), Night Bus (Indonesia), The Square (Sweden), The Gift (Indonesia) and Laut Bercerita (Indonesia).

In order to support the creative younger generation, Plaza Indonesia will also held a short-film competition with the theme of Love. Registration will be opened from March 1 while the winners will be announced on July 1.The short film competition winners will win up to Rp 40 million, so be sure to prepare your film if you are interested!
