After undergoing around 5,000 km of development runs and 15,000 km of reliability test- drives, the FXX-K EVO will be one of the main focuses of in the 2018/2019 season. Having recently been shown to the world at the Finali Mondiali, the new innovative FXX-K Evo has hit the ground running. The new evolution of the XX Programme, which was launched in 2005, will be released on as a limited run as a continuation of the work that Ferrari has done with the XX series.
The XX programme develops cars which that are synonymous with Ferrari’s innovative and uncompromising quality, with cars such as the previous Evo and 599 XX versions. As before, the Ferrari FXX-K Evo has extensive packages which that are developed from all of the various track categories in which Ferrari competes with its cars: the Formula 1, GT3, GTE and Challenge, the latter being the single-make championship bearing its name.
Due toAs it is not a being homologated for the road car,s the FXX-K Evo is aimed at a small, highly -select group of Ferrari Clients clients and supercar enthusiasts who share Ferrari’s mind set and tastes.
From the very beginning, designers focused on many different aspects of the FXX-K Evo in order to produce the newest supercar innovation.
By drawing on Ferrari’s Formula 1 experience and adopting innovative carbon-fibre- component- crafting processes, theythe brand has succeeded in producing a lighter car than the previous FXX-K despite introducing new elements, such as the fixed rear wing.
Representing the state- of- the- art style of Ferrari’s track- only cars is the evolved aero package, which has been developed in synergy with the notion of pushing the car to the very limits of its possible performance.,
The FXX-K Evo’s aerodynamics, which have been developed over a year of testing, deliver downforce figures very close to those of the cars competing in the GT3 and GTE championships. This all comes with the all to the advantage of lateral acceleration in cornering, stability and, ultimately, exhilarating driving pleasure.
The FXX-K Evo’s downforce level, which has an increased coefficentcy of 23%, has a boosted twin-profile fixed- wing on the tail. This new addition both guarantees excellent down force and drag, but also helps generates a downforce of 640 kg at 200 km/h.,.
In addition, the car has a series of fins which that boost stability when supporting the action of the three delta (that is, triangular) vortex generators. These three beasts of engineering help to stick to corners when driving at high speeds with a 10 per cent% increase in the downforce developed by the rear system.
Due additional assistance with the downforce, the FXX-K Evo front bumper and underbody have been tweaked to perfection to allow a perfect balance when driving.
Furthermore, the suspension was specifically calibrated to adapt it to the car’s new aerodynamic efficiency figures, which is are accompanied by a cabin that was birthed for racing. This is characterised by a conceptually -different steering wheel, inspired by Formula 1 and using the KERS Manettino to improve both control of that system and overall ergonomics.
Additional tweaks include a larger 6.5-inch” rear video camera screen, which now displays new telemetry system data with clearer, more direct performance parameters. , While while the car’s status readouts means the driver can check the KERS status as well as the different race times being clocked.
With the amount of downforce that has been engineered from the new XX addition, it is hard to even imagine another car taking its place as one of the masters of downforce in the racing circuit this coming season.
