The Nissan GT-R has long been regarded as basically an on-road race car ever since its first iteration. Now, the new 2017 GT-R Nismo looks like it will pack even more power and stability into the machine. The vehicle features a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V6 engine, which generates an astounding 600hp and 652Nm of torque. The GT-R Nismo is able to accelerate to 100kph in a mere 2.9 seconds and has an estimated top speed of 310kph.

The bumper of the Nissan GT-R Nismo comes with a new design and an enlarged “V-motion” grille to cool the high-output engine more effectively without diminishing its drag coefficient. The bumper also features layers of carbon-fibre sheets carefully overlapped to achieve optimum stiffness.

Meanwhile, new and improved aerodynamics on the hood, side sills, and front and rear bumpers all contribute to generating more downforce than any other Nissan production car— changes that result in exceptional high-speed stability. The body of the GT-R Nismo has also been reinforced, which, in turn, allows for further tuning of the shock absorbers, springs and stabilisers. All these changes, along with the huge downforce, make for a car that handles like a dream.

The dashboard, steering wheel and centre armrest are covered in high-quality Alcantara leather. And exclusive to the GT-R Nismo are leather-appointed Recaro carbon-bucket seats with red Alcantara inserts. In addition, the centre dash has been designed to be more intuitive and less cluttered, with only 11 switches, unlike the 27 in the previous model. An eight-inch touch-panel monitor featuring large icons in the display makes it all simple to use, even while driving.
