At the recently concluded Paris Couture Week, Chopard unveiled its most precious jewellery set ever produced, the Garden of Kalahari collection. At the showcase gala, Chopard told the story of a gem of near unparalleled rarity discovered in the deeps of the Kalahari mines of Botswana in late 2015—a single rock of 342 carats and stunning clarity and colour, the Queen of Kalahari.

A 55-minute documentary film, filmed by Alexis Veller, detailing the behind-the-scenes of the diamond's discovery also premiered at the gala. Celebrity artist and photographer CrazyRouge takes us inside this exclusive event.

The Garden of Kalahari was conceptualised by co-president Caroline Scheufele, and comprises of an extraordinary ensemble of 23 diamonds, each of the same stunning purity of its origin and created with utmost skill by the Chopard artisans. Reflecting the playful imagination of Maison Chopard, the entire collection can be worn in four different variations.
