Raffles Jakarta hotel recently launched a new spa facility at its prestigious establishment. Located on level 14, the Raffles Spa spans 700 square metres encompassing a spacious spa facility and a refreshing outdoor pool area. Inspired by the transformation of the lotus flower, the new wellness area is designed on the belief that balance is the key to achieve inner tranquillity and rejuvenation.

The oval-shaped spa features six luxuriously appointed treatments rooms, two VIP couples’ suites, and even a hair and nail salon to which guests can bring their preferred beautician. Before the facial treatment, guests will get the chance to analyse their skin’s condition using the spa’s face-mapping technology. Meanwhile, there are also male and female relaxation areas along with exquisite steam room facilities comprising two heated seats, an ice fountain and a unique rain-forest shower completed with sensory stimulating system (think soothing rain droplets sound and flowery fragrance while you shower).

Ensuring guests received only the best-quality skincare products, Raffles Spa has teamed up with Gaylia Kristensen, a new Australian cosmetics company that focuses on anti-ageing with products that feature state-of-the-art molecular polypeptide and protein technologies, combined with natural Australian botanicals.

For the menu, Raffles Spa offers a variety of personalised treatments with authentic Indonesian touches performed by knowledgeable spa experts. Its signature treatment is the Indonesian Heritage Experience, which uses local spa traditions and elements, beginning with a soothing Raffles Signature foot massage where the skin is exfoliated with anise herb followed by a traditional Indonesian Heritage massage, using a combination of Lomi Lomi, Balinese and Javanese massage techniques. The 150-minute treatment concludes with a relaxing head and scalp massage.

As for the other spa menu items, guests are welcome to experience the Traditional Jaipong Body Stretching, the Lavender Dreams Experience body treatment, the Radiance Skin Brightening Facial and the Oriental Foot Reviver. For couples, the Treasured Time treatment comes highly recommended.

“We welcome the spa at Raffles Jakarta and are pleased that while it has a strong local identity—it also has the unique DNA of the Raffles group of spas,” said Andrew Gibson, Vice President, Spa and Wellness, FRHI Hotels & Resorts. The Raffles Spa opens daily from 9am to 11pm.
