For three years, the impending desmise of the beard has been on everyone’s lips. Even scientists got involved, with a study in the journal Biology Letters proclaiming the end of facial hair.
But today, hairy chins still couldn’t be more on trend, and they’re getting more varied, from full classic Edwardian beards (tighter at the sides and longer on the chin) to hippyish unkempt facial hair, bushy whiskers, and the more modest quilt of day-old fuzz that isn’t really a beard but emanates that aura of casual panache that belongs to designer stubble.
Mind, though; beards won’t just grow on your face stylishly on their own. Hirsute types should cultivate their foliage with regular trims and quality products such as face washes and scrubs, balms and oils. Because no one likes beardruff.
