Earlier today, the news about designer Riccardo Tisci leaving Givenchy sent the fashion world, and many of us, into a state as we grappled with reality. After his 12-year-long tenure at the helm of the French luxury fashion house serving as the Creative Director, the designer has been responsible for many things.

His exquisite craftsmanship in blending high fashion with pop culture— not to mention his love for streetwear— and propelling Givenchy into one of fashion’s most-loved labels as worn by the bold and the beautiful, including celebrities and models, are among many things Mr Tisci did in the past 12 years.

The news about his departure, first confirmed by WWD, is shocking but not that surprising. Rumour has it that the Italian-born designer is in talks to move to Versace, basing on his close relationship with Donatella Versace who even co-starred in Givenchy's Fall 2015 campaign.

However, we can speculate and analyse about them later. It has been a common knowledge that in recent years, Riccardo Tisci has somewhat become the go-to designer for many, and we mean MANY, Hollywood’s A-listers. Best friend Kim Kardashian West, Queen Bey (Beyoncé), Julianne Moore, Rooney Mara and other starlets who loved Tisci’s design so much that they decided to flaunt them on major red carpets.

Now, while we're waiting patiently for his next move, we have compiled 11 best looks of Riccardo Tisci’s best looks!

Natalie Portman, 2008

Natalie Portman was a vision of beauty at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival in a white origami Givenchy dress.

Rooney Mara, 2012

In the spotlight for her fierce performance in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, actress Rooney Mara donned a Givenchy’s pearl-coloured lace gown during the 2012 Academy Awards that earned her many roaring praises.

Beyoncé, 2012

Beyoncé wore Riccardo Tisci’s creations for the last five years at the annual Met Gala in New York. And it all started in the year 2012 when the now-pregnant-with-twins star rocked the red carpet in a Givenchy black lace gown that comes with a purple train of feathers.

Amanda Seyfried, 2013

Amanda Seyfried wore Givenchy’s couture that embodies ethereal and romantic allure at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

Kim Kardashian, 2013

Floral focus! Kim Kardashian West sparked controversy during the 2013 Met Gala where she wore Givenchy floral gown with matching gloves and shoes. That’s not the best part: Kim was also in her third trimester during the event.

Kim Kardashian, 2014

Just a year after her floral fiasco at the Met Gala, Kim Kardashian created headlines, but this time it was endearing. The reality star chose to wear Riccardo Tisci’s white lace gown with sheer panelling and cut-outs during her wedding that took place at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence.

Julianne Moore, 2015

During the peak of her career, actress Julianne Moore shined at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards in a custom couture Givenchy gown with silver sequins and feather detail. She looked divine!

Beyoncé, 2015

After a series of winning fashion streaks, or should we say genius streaks, Beyoncé made another jaw-dropping moment during the 2015 Met Gala. The pop diva opted for Givenchy’s tulle evening dress that comes with strategically-placed multicolour crystals and stones that left very little to the imagination.

Cate Blanchett, 2016

Cate Blanchett wowed the crowd in a blush pink Givenchy dress during the 2016 Golden Globes awards. Her 1920s-inspired pink dress featured fringe-tastic gown, high neckline and quarter-length sleeves with thin fringe dropping from the shoulders.

Beyoncé, 2016

It’s only apt to end the list with Beyoncé in another Riccardo Tisci creation. During the 2016 Met Gala, the Lemonade songstress took her predecessor dresses to another level by wearing a nude latex Givenchy gown. With her long blonde hair untied, the rubbery gown featured long-sleeved, floral-esque and embellished with beadworks all over. An I'm so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress moment? Definitely not this time.
