The Swedish actress and dancer Alicia Vikander acting in the Danish Girl movie kept her look minimalistic unto the red carpet, but not in a conventional way. Her Louis Vuitton apron dress, all white with bold stripes stretching across the whole body, the collar and sleeves with ruffled design, while the waist styled with a belt, was showing the best niche of minimalism.

The singer and actress made major waves last year when she debuted in the role of the countess on American Horror Story: Hotel, and even from the very beginning, it was easy to tell that her character's fashion would be one of the stars of the show. Taraji P. Henson's Stella McCartney gown is far from cute — it's ethereal. Henson's dramatic all white ensemble is fierce, sexy, and chic, a definite upgrade from her look. The cape train in the back is something I've never seen before — it's like an update to the old school long train. It definitely raises the drama factor on Henson's gown by 100 percent, but also, how much more fun would it be to walk around with a cape! The cape train elevates her strapless gown, bringing it from basic to badass. Honestly, though, what else did you expect from Cookie Lyon herself?

To conclude, it's definitely a big night for fashion!
