For three decades, Widhi Budimulia has made a name for himself in the Indonesian fashion industry since he started his career back in 1986 after being nominated for the prestigious Fashion Design Competition (LPM). Widhi have had many stints since then, such as working as the assistant to fashion icon Susan Budihardjo and Kebaya designer, Prajudi.

The fashion show, which took place earlier this month, showcases 30 new collections with unique theme of “The Red Line” that depicts the designer’s journey from his humble beginning 30 years ago. The collection used various fabrics, such as lace, satin and duchess with embroidery details, along with bead and draping sequin that adds an elegant touch to each dress.

A beautiful Christmas songs rendition by Indonesian harpist, Patricia Budimulia, started the show and followed by a runway that features series of elegant black gowns worn by senior models. The second session saw series of white and pastel-colored long dresses in simple silhouettes adorned with Swarovski crystals and accessories by Elizabeth Wahyu. The fashion show comes to an end with a series of gorgeous red gowns, perfect to be wear for Christmas occasions.
