Fashion designer Didiet Maulana is the founder of IKAT Indonesia, a ready-to-wear brand that uses ikat woven fabric (tenun) as its main material. His achievements included designing the official clothing for APEC 2013 and the TUMI bag for the 2016 Grammy Awards, which garnered international praise for showcasing Indonesia’s signature woven patterns. Recently, the designer launched his latest spring/summer 2018 Mentari collection called “Surya”. Held at Hotel Monopoli, Ikat Indonesia collaborated with e-commerce platform JD.ID for a “see now, buy now” program, where customers can directly purchase the items on the website.
