This year’s theme for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit gala (MET Gala) 2018 was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. The Met’s Heavenly Bodies exhibition features a dialogue between fashion and medieval art from the Met collection, and examines the ongoing engagement with devotional practices and the traditions of Catholicism.
As predicted, the red carpet drew a slew of A-list stars who were seen decked out in the most extravagant looks in conjunction with the theme. Whether it was the ladies or gents, each came wearing a stunning ensemble, while many also paired them with matching and headpieces. These headpieces definitely made a statement on the red carpet and were one of the key accessories that took their looks to the next level. With this spectacular theme that created a spark in the fashion industry, we decided to round up 20 of the most extravagant celebrity looks that we absolutely adore.
The multi-talented singer, actress, and entrepreneur, as well as the host of the night, Rihanna wore a stunning silver gown and a matching headpiece by Maison Margiela.
