At last September is here! Known as the most important months in the fashion industry, September will see the annual fashion weeks taking place in the four biggest cities for fashion: New York, Paris, London and Milan. So, prepare to feast your eyes with the freshest and the most-creative designs from major fashion houses on the runway along with the latest fashion news on our fashion news column. PFW Highlights: Dior

Denims for spring/summer? Apparently Maria Grazia Chiuri thinks so. For Dior’s Spring/Summer 2018, the designer showcased a different ranges of clothing, not limited to denim, of course, but it stretches to jumpers with dragon print, sheer dresses, black and white checkered dress, red leather trench coat, and the achingly-cool marinière sweater emblazoned with wordings "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?" paired with blue loose jeans.

PFW Highlights: Saint Laurent

Located beneath the magnificent Eifel Tower in Paris, Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection showcased a funky mix of attires from designer Anthony Vaccarello, starting from glitter dress, asymmetrical cuts and feather knee-boots, sequined dress for the women and velvet jacket, butterfly-print zipped sweater and floral shirting.

MFW Highlights: Gucci

Alessandro Michele presented an eclectic mix (read: 109 looks) for Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Held at the Gucci Hub, the venue was filled with renaissance replicas spread all over the zig-zag runway, where models walked down clad in fairytale-meets-fantasy aesthetic. The collection boasted a wide-range of varieties from 80s-inspired work outerwear, golden shiny long-sleeved dress with kimono belt and a jacket with poms-poms. But, the crowd’s favourite is a sweater emblazoned with the words Never Marry a Mitford, a homage to Michele’s friendship with the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and a white sequin sweater with Disney's Snow White print.

MFW Highlights: Fendi

House of Fendi took inspirations from futurism meets tropical travel for its Spring/Summer 2018 Collection that ranges from graphic play of diaphanous layers, while symmetry of stripes and checkerboard patterns is seen throughout: bowling shirts become organza blouses, and rugby polos or cable knits warp over candy striped knickers and bras. The collection also featured Mon Trésor bag, a mini bucket in luxurious exotic leather festooned with metallic pearls.

MFW Highlights: Versace

Marking the late designer’s 20th anniversary passing, Donatella Versace paid tribute to her brother with a gorgeous, re-interpreted collection during Milan Fashion Week. Held at Milan’s Triennale museum, the show brought back many of the late designer’s iconic collections, such as the 1991 Warhol and baroque prints, bright metallic mesh dress, mini dress paired with jewelled stiletto boots, square-shouldered jackets, among others, matched with groovy accessories like butterflies fanny pack, print scarf and leather embellished cap. The highlight of the evening, of course, was the original 90s supermodels Cindy Crawford, Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer.

MFW Highlights: Moschino

After he showcased his own collection at New York Fashion Week Jeremy Scott returned with a witty collection, My Little Pony, for Moschino’s Spring/Summer 2018 during Milan Fashion Week. The coveted collection featured a mix of leather biker jacket, pony T-shirt, tulle tutus and fishnet boots along with flower-shaped top, long dress and rose-embellished dress with flowers hoodie.

NYFW Highlights: Ralph Lauren

Taking place at Ralph Lauren’s garage, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 took inspirations from automobiles’ speed and style as can be seen in its myriads of clothing designs for men and women that ranges from long coats, office wears, dapper suits matched with equestrian pants, double straps dress and two piece consists of high-necked top and tulle ball gown. Models Kendall Jenner and Presley Grabber were spotted on the runway.

NYFW Highlights: Naeem Khan

Indian-American designer Naeem Khan unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 collection combining inspirations from India, Spain and Russia that comes in a mix of clothing ranges from tea length dress, one shoulder dress with drapes, fringe dresses and fabulous long-sleeve crop top paired with white tulle skirt. However, the highlight of the collection is without a doubt the floral head and jewellery (read: nose ring) pieces.

NYFW Highlights: Calvin Klein

Raf Simons presented a range of bright, evocative colours and horror-movie inspired designs for his Spring/Summer 2018 collection during New York Fashion Week. The models strutted down the runway dressed in dinner uniform, denim, Andy Warhol prints on shirts and pants, long fringe dresses and ruby nightgowns along with Western-inspired outfits. Cindy Crawford's 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber made her debut at the event.

NYFW Highlights: Maryam Nassir Zadeh

A fun and playful collection was showcased by fashion designer Maryam Nassir Zadeh at downtown Manhattan as part of New York Fashion Week. The Spring/Summer 2018 collection featured swimwear over daywear, ruffled dresses, sleeved dresses and crop singlet top paired with 90s knee-length back pockets pants with additional of knot belt and simple necklace.

NYFW Highlights: Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott celebrated his 20th anniversary with a bang! During New York Fashion Week, the designer’s Spring/Summer collection paraded a number of eclectic and flamboyant designs: printed designs on T-shirts, swim suit over jacket paired with baseball cap and knee-length boots, moto jackets covered with huge, coloured crystals on the male model and deconstructed sweatshirt with camo pants and fishnet bodysuit. The show also seen a throng of supermodels (and Scott’s fan), such as Liberty Ross, Coco Rocha, Joan Smalls, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Charlotte Free and Devon Aoki.

NYFW Highlights: Tory Burch

Tory Burch hosted a garden fashion show at Smithsonian Design Museum to unveil its latest Spring/Summer2018 collection that comes in fresh prints, patterns and colours ranging from white, blue and yellow. The collection also showed dresses, T-shirts to a daring bikini over jacket and colourful jumpsuit. The collection was inspired by influential interior designer David Hicks.

Taylor Swift x Bulgari

Pop diva Taylor Swift was spotted wearing Bulgari Serpenti necklace and bracelets on her latest video music single “Look What You Made Me Do”. Whether you are a fan or not, one can’t deny that her serpent jewelleries are surely eye-catching!

Paul Smith A/W17

British fashion house Paul Smith released its Autumn/Winter 2017 collection with a humorous approach and surrealist theme by blending family portraits with parlour games. In the fashion ads, some models were covered with paper bags while sporting modern overcoats, bright shirts with repeating monkey and feather prints alongside floral motifs. The collection also offers leather accessories and shoes.

Style Guide: Alessandro Borghi in Gucci

During the 74th Annual Venice Film Festival, Italian actor Alessandro Borghi was spotted wearing sky blue slim shirt with black soft five pockets pant, black signature slip-onsneakers from Gucci’s Fall Winter’ 17-18 collection.

Dolce & Gabbana’s The One Campaign

Game of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington’s video campaign for Dolce & Gabbana’s The One fragrance has finally arrived. The two actors stared in different video ads where they roam the streets of Italy and embraced the culture wholeheartedly clad in smart and elegant outfits respectively.

Chanel’s F/W Eyewear Campaign

Luxury fashion house Chanel has unveiled its latest eyewear frames collection featuring round-frame, aviator spectacle and butterfly-inspired shades. Dutch model Luna Bijil, who walked in the Chanel Cruise’ 17, fronts the campaign appearing in a series of monochrome portraits lensed by Karl Lagerfeld himself.
