Dior’s fascination with flowers has led it to creating its own variety of roses. Grown on the cliffs of Normandy, Rose de Granville contains almost-magical properties that can illuminate the eye area by recharging the skin with precious micronutrients. The flower’s ability to withstand Normandy’s harsh climate is crucial in its development, as it means that only the strongest and most beautiful roses are used to produce Le Micro-Sérum de Rose Yeux.

Dior spent 15 years studying the mythical rose to discover its extraordinary beautifying effects. The roses are grown organically without the use of pesticides, and only one in 250 flowers in Dior’s gardens produces a fruit. The fruits contain the highest concentration of phytonutrients, essential in rejuvenating the eye contour area. When they are harvested once a year, only the flowers that are the ripest and richest in molecules are selected for Le Micro-Sérum de Rose Yeux.

Scientists at Dior Science, the research and development department of Christian Dior, analysed Rose de Granville’s phytochemistry and identified molecules at the heart of the rose. Dior researchers found that minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, amino acids, and phytonutrients are most impacted when the skin is fatigued. These micronutrients are those precisely found within Rose de Granville’s core and they make up the ingredients of this highly concentrated serum.

Using cutting-edge technology, Dior Science has created a unique applicator on the gel-serum. Ten rotating ceramic micro-pearls with a 360-degree rotation are integrated into a massaging head gilded in fine gold. With ten simultaneous micro-massages, applying it on your skin is three times more effective than using the fingertips. Consequently, puffiness is reduced more efficiently than with a single roll-on bead. Made from inert metal, the applicator ensures that 100 percent of the micronutrients come into contact with the skin around the eye contour and that none touch the fingertips during application.

The gel-serum energises tired eyes by removing puffiness and dark circles. It produces an icy-cold sensation and a refreshing effect upon contact with the skin. Unlike classic gels, its texture is light and evanescent—your eyes and the skin around them will be nourished, energised, and beaming with freshness after only four weeks of use. Le Micro-Sérum de Rose Yeux is priced at US$225 at www.dior.com.
