Putri Selaras Oesman may be a familiar face to fashion fiends as she often appears as a stylist for TV and magazines, as a small-screen host and in lifestyle references in glossy pages. She admits that styling is a hobby turned job and wants to be public relations professional after graduation. Her life, though, is more exciting than it sounds.
Indonesia Tatler: How would you describe your personal style?
Putri Selaras: I'm a chameleon in fashion, although I'm more boyish. Today, I could be all girly and pretty, yet tomorrow I could be wearing sneakers.
IT: What do you do in your leisure time?
PS: I prefer doing sports like Pilates, yoga, cardio-boxing, Zumba, wall-climbing, hiking and diving.
IT: What is your proudest accomplishment?
PS: So far, it is earning my diving certification. This was not an easy feat to achieve, since my life is on the line—such as when I encountered sharks, twice!
IT: Who is your inspiration in life?
PS: Chris Gardner, the entrepreneur who was once homeless but is now very successful. I am very inspired by his hard work and tenacity after watching The Pursuit of Happyness about how he survived being homeless with his son.
IT: What motto do you live by?
PS: My life motto is that I do what I love and I love what I do. Both of my parents are supportive of my career and activities as long as it's positive and I'm safe.
