Aksa Mahmud

Aksa Mahmud, born in Barru, South Sulawesi on July 16, 1945, is a successful entrepreneur and politician. He founded Group Bosowa in 1968, a conglomerate with businesses that include automotive, cement, property, mining, transportation, financial institutions and multimedia. Aksa Mahmud is also active in politics: he was Deputy Speaker of MPR (the People’s Consultative Assembly) for the 2004-2009 period. Aksa Mahmud attended Electrical Engineering Faculty at University of Hassanudin, Makassar. He is also active in the social organisation, the Bosowa Foundation.
