Ganjar Pranowo

Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.IP. is a politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and has been the Governor of Central Java since August 2013. He obtained his law degree from the University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) and started his political career a couple of years after he graduated from college. He was elected as a policymaker in the House of Representatives’ Commission IV, overseeing forestry, agriculture, plantations and fisheries in 2004, and co-chaired the House’s Commission II on home affairs and regional autonomy in 2009.
