Gita Irawan Wirjawan

Gita Irawan Wirjawan is an Indonesian businessman and politician. He founded Ancora Capital, a private equity fund, in 2008 and the humanitarian Ancora Foundation. He has served as the Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) before President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono appointed as Minister of Trade from October 2011- January 2014. Gita earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, his MBA from Baylor University in 1989, and his Master of Public Administration from the Harvard University’s JFK School of Government in 2000.
