Hajj Anif

Hajj Anif is an entrepreneur who owns palm-oil plantations in North Sumatra and Riau provinces. He started his career as a farmer in 1982, and in 1985 he founded PT Anugerah Sawindo and PT Anugerah Langkat Makmur (the Alam Group). He later founded Cemara Asri Real Estate in Medan in 1991, the first property complex in the country to house a bird park. In 2002, Hajj Anif was listed in the Indonesian Record Museum for setting up a conservation programme. He also runs the Hajj Anif Foundation and the Anugerah Pendidikan Indonesia Foundation, both providing student scholarships.
