Hj. Dr. BRA. Mooryati Soedibyo, S.S., M. Hum. was born into a royal Javanese family in Surakarta on January 5, 1928, and founded PT Mustika Ratu, which led her to a prestigious award by Ernst & Young Indonesia as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002. This blue-blooded lady earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the Open University, her Master’s degree in English Literature from 11 March University in Surakarta, and her Doctoral degree from University of Indonesia’s School of Economics, majoring in Strategic Management.
