Peter Frans Gontha

Born in Semarang on May 4, 1948, Peter Frans Gontha has been the Ambassador of Indonesia to Poland since October 2014. This well-known executive was educated in The Netherlands, where he graduated from the Prehaep Institute. He worked for the Holland America Line before going into banking, chiefly for Citibank and American Express. Best known for developing Bimantara and founding Indonesia’s first private television station, RCTI, he is also the mastermind behind the annual Java Jazz Festival. Currently, Peter Gontha also serves as the Chairman of KADIN-America Kikas.
