Sidrotun Naim Ph.D, born in Sukoharjo on May 29, 1979, is the Director of the Center for Sustainable Aquaculture and Pathology Studies (AquaPath) and a research scientist at Harvard Medical School. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Bandung Technology Institute and her Master’s degree in marine studies from Australia’s Queensland University under an Australian Development Scholarship. She is one of the 2009 recipients of the L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science Awards in Indonesia and a 2010 recipient of the Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Award.
