With a holiday season always just around the corner, many families will be planning their next vacation. Hotels, countries or activities are all on the checklist, but one thing that unites them all is whether or not the kids will have a good time. So here are six hotels that go a little bit further to be kid-friendly and that you might have missed.

The Efteling Hotel, Holland

As soon as you walk in you’ll notice that the kids will be at home here with their very own check-in desk. The hotel itself has close ties to the famous Dutch theme park nearby as it takes inspiration from the same elements, such as ancient myths and legends, fairy tales, fables, and folklore. Each room is an imaginative paradise for young kids and the hotel also has fun activities on site, which will keep the kids happy for the whole trip.

Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Hawaii

When you combine Disney magic with the beauty of Hawaii, you know there will be something for everyone. There are the normal Disney frills with all the characters present while the hotel facilities are all kid friendly. The pool is gorgeous, boasting a lazy river, two waterslides, a man-made reef, and the coved-in lagoon offers calm waters for a more relaxing day. The spa offers individual treatments for all ages, or the whole family can enjoy a treatment together in the Ohana suite.

Hilton Bali Resort, Indonesia

With an indoor-outdoor jungle-style playground, tree houses, and a trampoline the Hilton Bali is great place to take the kids. The resort has the range of things for adults you’d expect and that reflect its brand, but it also goes out of its way to make the kids feel welcome and occupied. Located in the coveted Nusa Dua resort zone means the surrounding area is beautiful and offers some paradise places, while the kids can enjoy a plethora of activities.

JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, Thailand

With a location near Phuket International Airport this is great place to get to if you wish to start your luxury holiday as soon as you land. Three large swimming pools means you’ll be able to find a place away from the crowds. While the kids’ club comes with a trampoline, video games room and a pool table so the kids will be occupied. Twelve different restaurants give everyone enough options so that each meal is extravagant and unique.

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia

A brand like Four Seasons comes with guaranteed quality and luxury. Yet this stunning resort also has many features with children in mind. Small amenities such as additional kids’ rooms in the villas, mini bathrobes and free additional beds for those aged under 12. Outside of the room is the free Kids for All Seasons club with a range of activities and qualified babysitters who speak a range of languages.

Kerry Hotel Beijing, China

Even with the large amount of fear-inducing adventure slides and obstacle courses, the Kerry Hotel remains intent on presenting a sense of welcome, colour, and safety. The onsite Adventure Zone is filled with exciting, stomach-churning activities for all ages and might even be fun for brave adults. However, the vertical red slide is not for the faint-hearted.
