1. Seychelles, Prince William & Kate Middleton
With more than 100 islands scattered over the republic of the Seychelles, many honeymooners choose them for the wealth of destinations to choose from. Located some 930 miles east of Africa, the country is a rare gem that came to the surface after Prince William and Kate Middleton spent their honeymoon at its North Island Resort. With lush natural reserves, a wealth of marine parks, and plenty of bleach-white beaches to chill out on, it is not a surprise that people call it the original Garden of Eden.
2. Brazil, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen
The towering supermodel Gisele and her handsomely athletic husband Tom Brady had their honeymoon in Brazil, a country that boasts endless eco-adventures from surfing to hiking, many beside active volcanos. The lovely couple could be seen basking in the bright sunlight with a few sweet treats in Horizontina, Southern Brazil, while holding hands lovingly—all despite the heat.
3. Arizona, Jay Z and Beyonce
Jay Z and Beyoncé spent their honeymoon in their home country of the US, spending romantic time in Paradise Valley, Arizona. They stayed at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain where they were treated to ultimate luxury and splendid views of the endless desert.
4. Tahiti, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher
When it comes to the Southern Pacific islands, most people will imagine lounging around secret lagoons, floral leis and #Instagrammable overwater bungalows. That is exactly what country singer Carrie Underwood and NHL bruiser Mike Fisher did after their wedding. They stayed at Le Tahaa Island Resort & Spa where they sunbathed on the deck of their private overwater bungalow and enjoyed couples’ massages with the island’s signature monoi-oil.
5. Ireland, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
It couple Kim and Kanye certainly know how to bathe themselves in luxury. After their highly anticipated wedding in 2014, they jetted off to the Emerald Isle in Ireland to stay at the five-star Castlemartyr Resort. It’s the ultimate honeymoon resort as lovebirds can go horse riding, try archery, drink authentic Irish whiskey at the Old Midleton Distillery, and maybe experience the Ghost-inspired scene by making pottery together.
6. Paris, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen
Is there any place more romantic than the City of Light? With Beaux Arts architecture and romantic Seine river bridges, it’s no wonder many chose this city as their honeymoon destination. Actors Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen was rumoured to be staying in the luxurious Coco Chanel suite at Ritz Paris where they enjoyed room service and took leisurely walks on Place Vendome.
7. Tanzania, Justin Timberlake Jessica Biel
Located on the eastern side of Africa, Tanzania is not front of mind for many couples considering their honeymoon destinations, but Hollywood power couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel might change that. Justin and Jessica spent their honeymoon at the Singita Faru Faru Lodge where couples can try the signature Serengeti stress-relief spa ceremony and taste the wide selections of wine.
