The luxury private guided-travel expert Jacada Travel offers adventure-packed Scandinavian itineraries designed for travellers who wish to view the northern lights and explore other remote expeditions in the Norway’s Arctic Islands as well as in Southern Iceland.
Interestingly, the packages offered are bespoke luxury tours designed to meet each individual guest/group’s needs without a standardised length, so tours can be modified accordingly. Here are two of the typical trips available in the coming months.
A Southern Iceland Discovery
Taking place between March and April, this Icelandic trip will begin by exploring the capital city of Reykjavik, and includes activities from walking behind waterfalls to driving along black sand beaches. A private south-coast tour of the Solheima glacier means guests also get to discover ice sculptures, ridges and crevasses, a black -lava beach with icebergs, as well as see the magical dancing Aurora Borealis by night.
Guests can also enjoy soaking in the geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon, explore the inside of a volcano and witness the mighty wonders of Geysir and Gullfoss. The trip also includes an exhilarating snowmobiling adventure on Langjokull and a memorable lowlands husky sled ride. The trip is priced at Rp 64 million/person.
Norway’s Arctic Islands
Starting from this month and lasting until May, take a scenic winter tour to the wild Lofoten Islands of Norway, famous for their mountains and peaks, open seas, sheltered bays and untouched lands. Visit a picturesque fishing village, then take a private boat towards the north of the archipelago to see the local wildlife, glacier valleys and granite mountains.
Continue your tour to the west coast of the archipelago to the “arctic capital” of Tromsø, popular for its museums, shops, restaurants situated in the culture hub of the city. Next, fly from Tromsø to the fierce and frozen Svalbard Islands, which are situated between Norway and Greenland. The final destination will feature myriad activities, such as snowmobiling, a polar bear spotting expedition, and an incredible husky dog farm and sledding experience. This trip is priced at Rp 150 million/person.
