Starwood’s St. Regis brand has now officially arrived in Malaysia’s Langkawi archipelago, itself within UNESCO’s First World Geopark. Owned by Integrated Nautical Resort, the resort is a joint venture between the Rajawali Group and the Malaysian Government’s Ministry of Finance as well the brand’s 37th address.

With an enchanting rainforest-meets-riviera atmosphere, the St. Regis Langkawi is fringed by a 600-metre white-sand beach overlooking the emerald-green waters of the Andaman Sea. With interiors designed by G.A Design and architecture by architecture firm Gensler, the hotel channels a classical contemporary aesthetic with European and Middle Eastern influences that can be seen throughout the resort, such as a colour palette comprising soft blues and beiges, Islamic arches and large private courtyards that embrace the design’s axial symmetry.

Being the first all-suite resort in the archipelago, the St. Regis Langkawi offers four private overwater villas and 85 luxuriously appointed suites. Each suite has a distinct design that boasts bold accents, local artists’ works, spacious terraces and unobstructed views of the sea.

For F&B venues, the St. Regis Langkawi houses six restaurants and a bar, including Kayuputi, which serves Asian-inspired cuisine; L’Orangerie with its French-infused Asian and Middle Eastern flavours; and the Gourmand Deli, which crafts a generous selection of fresh, homemade breads and pastries. The St. Regis Bar is also a must-visit with its selection of classic cocktails and canapés.

For total rejuvenation, the St. Regis brand’s signature Iridium Spa spans more than 800 square metres, allowing guests to indulge in a wide range of massages and treatments. Other facilities include a salon, an infinity pool, a 100,000-square-metre salt water swimmable lagoon, and a well-equipped athletic club.
