As the heir of PT Blue Bird, Indra Priawan grew up with money and unlimited access to the glamorous side of life. However, that didn’t make him arrogant or careless with his purchases. Aside from his activities as the head of the Blue Bird Group, which includes several other companies, Indra is also watch collector. Notably, his top choices involve an extensive set of Richard Mille watches.

He seems to have a knack when it comes to collecting rare watches, such as his Richard Mille 50-01 Lotus edition: there are apparently only 30 such watches in the world. Indra admitted that he looked for the 50-01 Lotus edition for a year and a half until he finally landed one.

Make no mistake: his reasons for collecting watches go beyond pure showmanship or vanity, because he revealed to us that he collects watches as investments, too. When asked about his journey in collecting watches, his past mistakes include buying watches that decrease in value after time, so now he’s much more discerning in picking out watches that will increase in value in the future.

His next dream watch will cost US$1.5 million dollars. Curious to know what is it? Watch the video to find out…
