During the recent BaselWorld 2016, luxury house Hermès returned in style with its Slim d'Hermès Manufacture collection. The watch features a 39.5mm case with gorgeous dials—opaline silvered for the ladies with 66 white diamonds delicately framing the circumference and slate-toned for the gents—that are also adorned with unique Arabic numerals with 4N-gilded or rhodium-plated coatings.

The Slim d’Hermès Manufacture uses an H1950 ultra-thin movement revealed through the transparent sapphire-crystal caseback driving displays of the hours, minutes and small seconds at 6 o’clock. Automatic winding is ensured by a technically complex micro-rotor, while the 2.6mm calibre ensures a 42-hour power reserve. Like all Hermès movements, the Calibre H1950 is covered with a “sprinkling of Hs” motif.

For the ladies, the watches are enlivened by alligator straps in vibrant colours—sapphire blue, elephant grey, geranium, cassis or simply black. Meanwhile, for the gents the model is equipped with an elephant-grey alligator strap, while a matt indigo strap complements the hue of the Slim d’Hermès midnight-blue edition.

“The collection was born from encounters between the Maison, designers and artisans. The singular blend of contemporary and classic elegance embodied in Slim d’Hermès expresses the essence of Hermès,” said Philippe Delhotal, Creative Director of La Montre Hermès.
