Especially for this year’s Valentine’s Day, Blancpain has created a new version of its iconic Ladybird, which has been part of its collection since 1956. This timepiece was the world’s smallest round watch at the time of its launch, making it a famous and elegant watch that attracted women with chic and feminine tastes.

For this romantic occasion, Blancpain is creating a special collection with a mother-of-pearl dial and a heart design bejewelled with brilliant-cut diamonds and rubies on its upper part, making it a spotlight for this romantic month. The 21.5mm-diameter white gold case of this Ladybird Saint Valentine’s Day 2016 model is lit up by a bezel set with more than 0.5 carats of diamonds completed with a 15.7mm-diameter self-winding movement, which is one of the smallest in the world.

As a symbol of love, this adorable piece is adorned with a heart-shaped charm made of ruby. The charm was specially created for the Ladybird timepiece and can be easily attached at the 12 or 6 o’clock positions according to the wearer’s wishes. First launched at Baselworld 2015, the Ladybird Saint Valentine’s Day 2016 is beautified with a calfskin strap and is issued in an engraved and numbered 99-piece limited-edition series.
