OMEGA is a Swiss luxury watchmaking brand that pushed the boundaries and isn’t afraid to take risks. This year's, the watch brand give a modern makeover to its classic Trésor watches and make a perfect example of OMEGA's willingness to embrace the new.
Aligning with the 2018 collection's sleek contemporary design, OMEGA hosted a very different kind of celebration: a flying dinner in Berlin, with a touch of industrial chic. The stark concrete interior of Berlin's Kraftwerk was transformed into a space filled with light and music—creating a magical ambience. A-list guests, such as German model Toni Garrn and actor Thore Schölermann, entered the exhibitory space through a specially constructed maze with various rooms leading off to surreal fairy tale scenes, fun photo opportunities, and all sorts of unique attractions.
Meanwhile, the guest of honour was the model-of-the-moment, the 16-year-old Kaia Gerber. The model feels honour on being chosen as the face of Omega’s Trésor. “Like a lot of young women of my generation, I love the vintage look. OMEGA's new watches have that classic style, but with very cool, modern touches. As a model I get to wear a lot of beautiful clothes, but I'm most comfortable in jeans and sneakers and what I love about these watches is how they go so well with both looks”.
The all-new Trésor collection boasts a classic design with a modern edge. Each watch model is distinguished by its thin case, available in 36 mm and 39 mm sizes. Diamond paving curves on each side of the case along with a single diamond is set within the crown of all models. Aside from that, OMEGA has also added a flower on each crown, created out of five OMEGA logos in red liquid ceramic. The timepieces are recognisable for its embossed Roman numerals, which elegantly circle the dial. On each Trésor model, OMEGA has also included a special mirrored case back with a "Her Time" design.
"We're thrilled that Kaia is a part of the OMEGA family. It's impossible to imagine a more perfect face of Trésor. Her career has only just begun and already she has displayed an astonishing level of cheerfulness and maturity in the face of so much global attention” said Raynald Aeschlimann, CEO and President of OMEGA.
In honour of the launch event and in addition to the nine Trésor timepieces presented from the main collection, OMEGA unveiled another three new 36mm jewellery pieces: a bold red Garnet model, a watch in OMEGA's own 18K Canopus gold, and a Trésor jewellery timepiece in blue aventurine, which will be available in boutiques from October.
