The Freak Vision Coral Bay, named after the famed snorkelling reef in Western Australia, beautifully showcases Ulysse Nardin’s mastery in hand-bonding technique through its red coral painting on the dial. As the first automatic Freak, the Vision ingeniously includes a super-light silicium balance wheel with nickel mass elements, and stabilizing micro-blades. A new case design made even thinner by a box-domed crystal and stronger with platinum, plus the cool leather or sailcloth strap, complete the Vision.
Baume & Mercier
Ever classic with black leather strap, 40mm steel case and white, porcelain-finished dial, Baume & Mercier takes the Clifton even further into the future with the self-winding Baumatic movement and its 120-hour power reserve. The watchmaker includes up to four more innovation, such as the Powerscape Technology to increase efficiency and the Twinspr for precise rating. An oversized date marker on the third hour and slender, riveted hour markers then crown Clifton as a durable and efficient daily watch.
TAG Heuer’s Connected Modular returns smaller in 41mm yet more powerful starting from its 326ppi resolution and brighter AMOLED screen, to the NFC sensor to enable contactless payment. Working on the Android Wear™ operating system, the new Modular now has 8GB memory and 1GB RAM that is compatible with Android™ 4.4 phones and iOS 9, or the later versions of both. Seven standard models are available for this modular watch with a total of nine colourful straps to choose from.
Fun times are ahead with Hermes and its Arceau Casque watches in four eye-popping colours of blue, green, red, and yellow reminiscent of board game tokens. A horse motif crafted using champlevé, lacquer and transfer techniques on the dial, plus the matt tone-on-tone chevron motif on the background, both connects to the brand’s equestrian heritage and the chess game. With matching straps for each colour, the quartz-driven Arceau Casque is made of steel measuring 36mm—perfect for fashionably dainty wrists.
Celebrating Chopard’s 25th anniversary, the maison releases Happy Sport Manufacture watches in four soft monochrome sets of dial and case: blue with gem-set steel, pink with steel and rose gold, white with rose gold, and white with gem-set rose gold. A self-winding mechanical movement is also specially developed for this 30mm watch giving a power reserve of 42 hours. Furthermore, five diamonds whirl freely above the dial adding a sweet and innocent touch showing Chopard’s joie de vivre.
