Here, we reveal to you her 6 secrets to be fit and healthy because who doesn’t want to be a Wonder Woman?
In order to gain lean muscles for her role as Wonder Woman, Gadot’s trainers added HIIT (high-intensity interval training) exercises such as boxing, rowing, burpees and weight-lifting. She also incorporated push-up and planks in her workout regimen. HIIT is guaranteed to boost your metabolism and burn more fat than conventional cardio.
Mixing it up!
Gal Gadot had to learn a variety of martial arts in preparation for her role as Diana Prince. As such, she also worked with trainer Mark Twight, who mixed cardio intervals on the stationary bike and rowing machines with squats, ball throws, and pull-ups to build her strength. When she’s off work, the Fast and Furious actress can be found doing paddle boarding and TRX suspension training.
Aside from HIIT and TRX exercises, the mother-of-two also loves to challenge herself with indoor rock climbing. This is a good option if you want to step up your strength, endurance, agility, balance and mental control. Do you know that rock climbing can burn up to 900 calories per hour?
Drinking lots of water is actually an effective weight loss strategy. Gadot drinks not just a bottle, but a gallon each day. In addition, drinking water helps maintain the balance of body fluids, keeps your skin looking younger and, most importantly, it is good for your kidneys.
Balance your meal
Gadot’s trainer recommends her meals to consist a 50/50 mix of lean protein and vegetables. Therefore, the actress also makes sure that about 30 to 40 per cent of her family’s diet is made up of either cooked or raw vegetables, with a combination of fish or chicken breasts. If she’s craving a midday or late-night snack, Gadot goes for avocado toast and nutrient-dense fresh produce like bell peppers, celery, and cherry tomatoes.
Gadot has admitted that she has no diet restrictions. “I’m a foodie and I love to experience food, but at the same time I look at food as fuel and I want to give the best to my body,” she said in Harper’s Bazaar. So, like the rest of us, she also devours burgers and chocolate ice-cream. “I don't restrict myself; I can eat everything. It's all a matter of measurements and quantity of the food.” Something we need to remember every day.
