When Demna Gvasalia took the reins at Balenciaga in 2015, the fashion master embedded into the brand his signature streetwear designs. He has since continued to push boundaries and presented collections that have strayed a little from Balenciaga’s norms.
While his tactic may have caused confusion within the fashion house, it did win the hearts of many, like his heavy use of the Balenciaga logo in the season’s line ofVille top handbags. From the Winter 18 runway show, high-tech 3D-moulded tailoring and the multi-fused garments have been rephrased to merge last season’s innovations into the joint vocabulary of everyday Balenciaga wear.
The collection of top handle handbags is crafted from supple leather and features hand-drawn the word “Balenciaga” in sizes that are larger than usual. Made to suit the needs of daily wear, the Ville is available in three different sizes and an array of colours.
