One of the most-searched-for girls on Indonesian search engines is none other than our favorite #GirlBoss, Dita Soedarjo. We’re not sure how the gorgeous Dita manages to handle so many businesses while being social at the same time—but she does! Dita, with her vibrant personality and refined looks, has achieved loads at a young age. As the daughter of one of the leaders of a national conglomerate to being engaged to one of Indonesia’s finest basketball players, there’s so much about Dita to know about. Here are five fast facts.
CEO of Häagen-Dazs
In 2015, Dita Soedarjo was given the responsibility of overseeing Häagen-Dazs by her father, Soetikno Soedarjo. Dita has always loved ice cream, so how much fun would being the CEO of Haagen Dazs be? In the job, she gets to interact with many different people and gets to engage in a lot of flavour-tasting. With her sweet tooth and love of ice cream, she seems like she has the perfect job, doesn’t she?
The #GirlBoss and philanthropist
Dita comes off as one of those people who’s got the serious girlboss hustle. She strives to do her best and is driven to succeed. Not only does she hold the title of CEO of Häagen-Dazs, this young businesswoman also has a number of side businesses as well. First and foremost, Dita has an eyelash store called D’licate. This store is known to sell premium lashes to well-heeled ladies in Jakarta, but it also employs widows and underprivileged women to make them.
Other than that, Dita, being the fashionista that she is, also has a high-end ready-to-wear online store based in Jakarta called Virgin Villains. This store sells gorgeous and stylish outfits perfect for day looks and night looks. If that wasn’t enough, Dita also serves as one of the founders of Let’s Share, an organisation that supplies basic necessities to remote villages around Indonesia. Dita, one of three founders, believes that however small your effort is, you can always make a difference. This organisation supports education, healthcare, and public services.
Dita is the youngest of Soetikno Soedarjo and Dian Muljadi’s three daughters. Her father is the founder of the company Mugi Rekso Abadi (MRA) Group, which deals with mass media, the food and beverage industry, entertainment, lifestyle, broadcasting, hotels, and retail and automotive companies. The eldest of the sisters, Putri Soedarjo, initially worked with her friends at a beauty business called Pink Parlour, and then she proceeded to join MRA Group. Putri is also in charge of Bulgari and Bang & Olufsen.
Meanwhile, Mita Soedarjo, the middle child, worked at Mindshare, a media and marketing company, before also joining the family company. Mita is married to actor Maruli Tampubolon and together they have an adorable daughter, Jemima Tampubolon. How accomplished do all three sisters sound? Keeping aside the daily hustle, they maintain a close relationship and talk every day.
Relationship status: engaged
If you asked, 2018’s IT couple award would definitely go to Dita Soedarjo and Denny Sumargo. Their engagement came as a pleasant surprise to many in society. The engagement party welcomed honourable guests such as family, friends, co-workers, and more. The two share a very close and adorable relationship, and it’s safe to say they also helped define #RelationshipGoals.
