Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you decided to become a fashion designer?
I graduated from Raffles Design Institute Singapore and LPTB Susan Budihardjo. Becoming a fashion designer has been my dream since I was 5 years old.
How would you describe your designs?
My creations are always whimsical and feminine with intricate embellishments.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
The most satisfying part is when you design something and turn it into reality. It’s like making someone’s dream dress come true.
Can you tell us what creative people like you do every day that helps with creative inspiration?
For me, inspiration can come from anywhere—even when I’m taking my son to school. But I do get it mostly during holidays.
Can you tell us one funny experience you have from when you started out as a designer?
When I was still in university, I made this dress for my sister-in-law and the breast pad was not aligned. I felt so bad, but she said it was fine and laughed it off. She still uses it until today.
If you could describe yourself as a handbag, what bag would you be and why?
Chanel boy bag because it’s modern and classic at the same time.
