1/5 Protection

Protect your skin from UV rays with sunblock. SPF 30 should be enough, because the higher the SPF the drier it will make your skin. Also, avoid air pollution as much as you can.

Keeping your skin hydrated is super-important for achieving healthy skin. Using moisturiser can be a simple but effective way of making sure your skin stays hydrated. But make sure you use one that suits your skin condition.

3/5 Facials and treatments

There are so many treatments and products you can use these days. Glowing skin is caused by high collagen production, so it will do your skin a lot of good if you use treatments that boost its production. Some examples are laser and platelet-rich[ML1]  plasma (PRP) injections, as well as vitamin C.

Even when you’re young, it’s useful to have regular blood checks or other kinds of check-up in order to know your body’s stress levels because these will affect your overall health and skin.

Your skin is a big part of your body, literally. Thus, what you consume and how you take care of your body (regular exercise, enough rest and healthy bowels) will have a huge impact on your skin health. So drink at least eight glasses of water (two litres) per day, consume five to nine servings of fruit and veggies a day, and avoid food and drinks that are high in glucose. Exercise regularly but don’t overdo it and sleep for six to eight hours a day. Foods that boost collagen include citrus, berries, chicken, fish and tomatoes (cooked tomatoes are especially good because they also increase lycopene, which is an anti-cancer agent).
